Drawing in Space with 3D Materials, with Artist Fiona Campbell

Inspired by the exhibition and The Sherborne Gardens, you will use everyday, found, and recycled materials such as wire, paper, cardboard, fabric, string, wood, and plant debris to create a sculptural work from initial sketches.

Focused on assemblage sculpture, where you construct rather than carve away, you will explore line as a means to draw in space. Other elements will include form, colour, texture, spatial relationships, and the concept of transformation, utilising a range of 3D skills.

The process will be explorative, and you will come away with something you have made!  The aim is to experiment with creative ideas, processes, and media (both industrial and organic), and develop new techniques. You will be encouraged to be resourceful and improvisational, gain confidence, and complete a small sculpture.

Materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring along your own, too!

Suitable for mixed abilities. Adults only, there will be a break for lunch
