With her band of stellar musicians, singer/pianist/percussionist Julie Dunn brings a vibrant selection of seasonal jazzy and traditional music to The Sherborne: from Corelli to Cole Porter, by way of Eartha Kitt and even John Lennon, this evening’s musical offering will give your Christmas Celebrations a wonderful kick-start—let the fun begin!

Julie Dunn – Classically trained, MA in Performance Studies/Jazz Improvisation & the Vocalist, a passion for vibrant swing and all things jazzy ..several acclaimed albums .. “a beautifully appealing sound” – Norma Winstone
Pete Maxfield DB – Peter Maxfield has played double bass for over 40 years. His profession and love for Jazz music has taken him all over the world, from Paris to Mongolia – he has worked with many notable jazz musicians, including Andy Sheppard.
Ian Ellis, Saxes – Ian Ellis has worked as a professional jazz saxophonist since 1985. He has performed live and recorded with stars such as Ruby Turner, Victoria Newton, Artoro Sandoval, and Rumer. Jazz Wise Magazine has hailed him as a “virtuoso saxophonist, one of our very best”.
Oscar Tabor, Violin – “I am a classically trained Violinist who now plays a wide variety of genres. Whilst studying at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, I had a fantastic teacher who inspired in me an acute interest in many other genres of music, including Klezmer, Tango, Gypsy Jazz and Folk. Playing the Violin is both my job and my passion, and I love to perform!”
