Set in a dugout in Aisne in 1918, it is the story of a group of British officers, led by mentally-disintegrating young Officer Stanhope, as they await their fate.

Raleigh, a naive and idealistic young officer, arrives at the Western Front and asks to be posted to the company of his old school friend, Captain Stanhope. He joins a trench full of fear as the men await their grim fate while trying to cope with the daily pressures of the war.

An adaptation of the play by RC Sherriff.

Join producer Guy de Beaujeu and writer Simon Reade as they introduce the film and hold a Q&A afterwards.
